Get Started

After the successful theme purchase you will receive an email including your individual download link. With this link you can download the Theme folder (zip file). Also you can find the download link on the your account page.

Note please:
– A zipped file of the theme looks like this imagery-pro.zip / imagery-pro-1.x.x.zip. This is the file that you should upload as theme install pack via the WordPress admin panel or another way.
– An archive file which contains additional material of the theme (this can be documentation, pictures, etc.) so looks like this imagery-pro-files.zip / imagery-pro-docs.zip. It doesn’t need to be uploaded. You can unzip it and use the files you find there.

Installation via the WordPress admin panel

After downloading the theme zip file to your local computer, please go to Appearance > Themes in your WordPress admin panel and click the Install button at the top of the page. Now click the Upload Theme button and upload the theme zip file from your computer. You can activate the theme by hovering over the preview image, here you will see the Activate button.

Installation via FTP

Alternatively you can also install the theme directly to your server with a FTP client (e.g. Filezilla). Just drop the unziped theme folder into your …/wp-content/themes/ folder. Now you can see the uploaded theme in your WordPress admin panel under Appearance > Themes > Available Themes. From there you can activate the theme.

One Click Demo Import

After activating the theme, you can install the demo version of the theme in one click. To do this, first you need to install the plugin One Click Demo Import.

To do this, go to WP Dashboard > Plugins > Add New. Enter a plugin name in the search box. Press the Install Now button.

After successful installation and activation of the plugin, go to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Import Demo Data. Now you can choose one of the demo versions of the theme and install it by button Import.

Wait for the import finished, this may take few minutes. After notice a successful import, you should make sure that the menus and widgets are set right (sometimes something goes wrong). To check the menu, go to Appearance > Menus.

Select a menu from the drop-down list Select a menu to edit.

Make sure that the location is set for the selected menu.

This theme allows you to create two menus (a primary and a social links) and there are two locations: Primary and Social Links. You should make sure that the appropriate locations are selected for both menus.

Note please: After the changes, remember to click the Save button.

Step by Step installation

Set up your Front Page

First, create a new page on your website, with the WP Dashboard > Pages > Add New. Give the title of this page. And you can enter the blah-blah text (one or two sentences, then after installation you replace it with the one you want) in the Excerpt box.

Note: If Excerpt box does not display on your page editing screen, then click on the Screen Options tab at the top right of the admin panel, and check the checkbox Excerpt.

Publish your page.

Then go to Settings > Reading to set your static Front Page to the homepage you just created.

Press Save Changes button.

Set via Customizer
Go to the Customizer’s Static Front Page panel and set “Front page displays” (“Homepage Settings”) to “A static page”.

Select the page created in step one as Front page, and choose another page as Posts page to display your blog posts.

Additional options
Once you have set a static page as the front page, you can select additional options for the static front page: content layout, visibility and order of sections on the front page.

To set additional options, go to the Customizer’s Front Page Sections panel:
Page Content – front-page content display options;
Visibility & Sorting – front-page sections visibility and order.

Set up your Blog Page

Creating a blog with this theme is just like any other theme, you’ll want to add all your blog posts using the standard posts and then set up the blog page under the Reading settings.

Create a new page, go to WP Dashboard > Pages > Add New. Give the title of this page, for example, Blog. Publish your page.

Then go to Settings > Reading to set your static Posts Page to the blog page you just created. Also here you can set the number of displayed posts on one page.

Press Save Changes button.

Additional options
Additional options for blog page and single posts are available in the Customizer, go to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Blog Posts panel.

To configure the recent posts section on a static front page, go to the Customizer’s Front Page Sections panel > Blog Section.

Pages and Posts creating

Now you should fill your website with start content. For this purpose, it is necessary to create some posts and few pages. Let’s go.

Pages
Create a new page, go to WP Dashboard > Pages > Add New. Select a template for this page in the page attributes box.

If the Page attributes box is not on the screen, click on the Screen Options tab at the top right, where the top admin panel.

Give the title of this page, for example, About. Use an Excerpt field to create a subheader for the page. Upload an image to the Featured Image box if you want to show an image near the page title.

Press the Save Draft button in the Publish box.

Imagery Pro comes with additional options for a page that has a default template.

When you create a new page, then please note that additional options for this page will be available after you save the draft or publish this page.

Posts
Create a new post, go to WP Dashboard > Posts > Add New. Select a format for this post in the Format box.

When you create a new post, then please note that different formats of a post there offer different of additional options for a post.

Additional options for this post will be available after you select Format and save the draft or publish this post. So switching the post format and saving draft (or updating) take you access other advanced post options that match the post format.

To set your website menu, go to the WP Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.

Once you’re on the Menus editing screen, create a new menu and save it. After you’ve saved the menu, you can add it to a menu via the Menu Settings, below the Menu Structure area. Add your pages and links to the menu you just created in the Menu Structure area.

Social Links Menu

The Social Links Menu will appear as icons and will automatically populate in the site footer. To add the icons, simply create a custom link to the social media location and the theme will do the rest.

Portfolio Setup

If you want to showcase your works, then you need to install a free plugin called Portfolio Post Type.

Once you’ve successfully downloaded the zip file of the plugin, head to your WordPress Dashboard and select Plugins > Add New > Upload. Add the zipped file in the field there and click Upload.

Upon a successful upload, you’ll be prompted to activate the plugin. You’ll then see a new Portfolio tab in your WordPress Dashboard Menu Sidebar. Creating portfolio posts is done exactly the same as image format posts.

Portfolio Meta
Each portfolio post has meta fields that you may choose to use on each individual post. You can set the client, role, url, and uploads images for gallery slideshow.

Portfolio Options
You will find a Portfolio section in the Theme Customizer, go to Dashboard Menu: Appearance > Customize > Portfolio Posts.

Featured Post

On the front page, you can show a post that has been assigned a specific tag, such as a “featured”. To show a featured post on the front page, you need to create a tag and assign it to the selected post. Then go to the Customizer > Front Page Sections panel > Featured Post: there, paste the chosen tag in Tag name field and press Publish.

Widgets

This theme has one widget area that is between the main content and footer.

Imagery Pro is ready for the use of contact form plugins such as Contact Form 7 and MailPoet.

You can create a contact form or subscription form using these plugins and then insert the plugin widget in the Widget Area: WP Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets. Next, you can customize the display of the widgets area in the Customizer by go to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Bottom widget bar.
